you should compile cinnamon from git. It comes with the cinnamon settings tool, which will do all of this. Soon Clem will add the ability to move the panel. Keep up the good work, I learned a lot of my CLI stuff from your videos. Thanks man

I was digging up some screen shots for a friend and ran into Cinnamon configuration application. I guess it's still in testing or something like that, but I have no doubts in next version they will have it installed. So far Mint is taking a lot of my attention.

In the next version update of Cinnamon, you won't even need to make changes with dconf because Clem is adding an actual Cinnamon Configuration program where you will easily be able to make various changes...i believe there is also going to be a bunch of cinnamon themes included and there will also be applets you can add too...
It just gets better and better....

@gotbletu The tilde is the squigly ~. The front single quote ` is a backtick.

Heard anything about whether Clem is gonna fix that stupid jumpy menu-width thing? I think I'll be moving away from Maverick before too long, and Cinnamon looks interesting... except for that stupid twitchy menu glitch/bug/feature/whatever. (I'd just Google it, but, OK. No I won't)

I think how ubuntu, linux mint and pretty much anything based off ubuntu needs to work on how they handle themes. One thing that android does is brings the ability to download themes from the market that self install instead of going to different places. I have little java experience but I've made themes and didn't have to go through alot of non sense to make one. And my users didn't have to install a new ppa or guess where to find it.
